2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) is an extra layer of security that helps protect your Darwinex account from unauthorized access.
What is the 2FA method offered by Darwinex?
Darwinex offers a single 2FA method: Time-based one-time password (TOTP). This involves using an app on your mobile device that generates 6-digit codes that you must enter on the platform to perform certain actions.
How do I activate 2FA?
To activate 2FA, follow these steps:

Access the Settings section where you can activate 2FA. You will find a link in the side menu labeled "Security".

Click on the "Activate" button.

The details for activating 2FA will be displayed:

Download one of the apps listed under "Configure your security code" and enter the QR code or code that appears on the right into that app. With this, you will be able to obtain the 6-digit code that you must enter in the "Verify that everything is correct" - "Verification code" section.
What will the 2FA is required?
There will be 3 cases in which you will be required to introduce the 6-digit code:
- For loging in to the Darwinex account.
- For withdrawing funds from Darwinex.
- For deactivating 2FA from your account.
Once 2FA is activated, it will be required for all three of these actions. You cannot choose to enable it for only one or two of them.
What should I do if I lose access to my 2FA app?
If you lose access to your 2FA app, please contact us at info@darwinex.com so that we can deactivate 2FA for you so that you can set it up again once you download any app again.
